OM Seating is a vibrant, warm, design-forward manufacturer of office seating. Our small but mighty marketing department is looking for a hands-on, multi-talented, effective product Mid-Level Marketing Communication Coordinator to join us.
The ideal candidate is someone who is organized, clear, quick to understand a given product or product line, and also skilled at writing descriptions to highlight the product—and our company—and put both in the best light possible.
Are you a roll-up-your-sleeves person with some experience in marketing or sales? We want you! The role supports all aspects of our marketing and strategic direction: supporting marketing, product development, and sales.
Job Responsibilities
- Apply your creativity and clear-minded communication skills to write original copy in OM Seating’s friendly-but-professional “brand voice”
- Build, maintain and organize an up-to-date, segmented, marketing database of our customers, influencers, and followers
- Conceptualize & Design graphics for use within our constellation of marketing touchpoints (e.g., brochures, website, newsletters, social media posts and various other digital/printed marketing tools), while also keeping in-line with our overarching visual style & “image”
- Interpret project briefs into copywriting concepts and/or graphics storyboards to achieve project requirements
- Collaborate with our team in planning our social media presence & posts… and then help to execute that plan!
- Collaborate within a close-knit team (that you would become a part of) on large- and small-scale marketing projects (e.g. email campaigns and landing pages)
- Use SEO principles to maximize copy’s reach and effectiveness
- Stay current on trends and competitors within the industry
- Play a key role in seeing projects through the whole creative lifecycle—from inception to deployment to results measurement
- Drive brand consistency across all company communications and visuals
- Develop concepts by hand or with various software programs, and execute original content by determining the ideal usage of color, text, font style, imagery, and layout
- Manage the design and uploading process for all project materials, based on best practices for using a content management system
- Support the planning and logistics for several annual trade shows
- Support messaging around product launches and sales updates
- Support sales teams with training materials, videos, custom product demos, and the like
- Other duties as assigned

- Ability to travel, pending COVID restrictions (should estimate how much travel, see other description)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Marketing, journalism, Graphics Design, English, communications, or related discipline
- 5 years or more of experience in:
- Email Campaigns (Mailchimp experience preferred, but not required)
- Content Marketing:
- Copywriting and Copy editing
- Graphics Design software, including:
- Adobe Suite (Photoshop – In-Design – Illustrator)
- Social media campaigns across various platforms (specifically Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, and LinkedIn)
- Exceptional writing, grammatical, and proofreading skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Light coding experience a plus (HTML preferred)
- Solid portfolio of work on both Copy & Graphics Design

- Job Type: Full Time (40+ hours a week)
- One location: Ontario, CA
- Typical workday: 8:30a to 5:00p, M-F
- Pay Rate $27.00 – $33.00 Compensation may vary commensurate with experience.
