Parkland Health and Hospital System

The 2.8 million‐square‐foot Parkland campus is one of the busiest public hospitals in the nation, and one of the largest hospitals in the world, with more than 1 million patient visits each year. For Parkland, we designed and built world‐class seating that supported the hospital’s vision of a happier workplace and by extension, better patient outcomes. We shipped more than 4,000 chairs in 14 truckloads in just about a month’s time — a tremendous logistical effort from end‐to‐end.

We drew from our comprehensive toolkit to close this multifaceted project. OM supplied ergonomic seating for nursing stations, height adjustable stools on specialized casters for doctors’ offices, and comfort, budget, and functional solutions for administrative and clinical areas, high traffic use, and private offices. Our reputation as a quality source for ergonomic seating, and our breadth of options for a variety of uses, body types, and design looks, closed the deal. Also, our commitment to smart shipping, aka “blanket wrap,” meant that no cardboard boxes or packaging materials were required, which reduced waste and recycling efforts.
